IBAT College Dublin, Ireland’s leading third-tier business-oriented institution, hosted its first graduation ceremony since 2019.

Joe Gorey, principal of the college, welcomed the graduates, their families, lecturers, IBAT staff and college governors, Ms. Breege O’Donoghue and Dr. Frank McMahon to the ceremony. Speaking to graduates and their families, Gorey said:

Elsewhere, Dr McMahon, who graduated from Ireland’s first MBA program at UCD in 1967, also spoke of the demands and rewards that led to his graduating with the MBA, citing lifelong learning. life and maintaining contact as essential. “Graduation is not the end, it’s the start,” he said. “The word graduation comes from Latin for a step. After the graduates became graduates, an IBAT graduation ceremony recognized the achievement of an outstanding student, Paul Faherty, who received the John Murtagh Memorial Award not only for his academic performance, but also for his engagement, interaction and support with other students, lecturers and Staff.

A passionate and dedicated educator, John Murtagh has taught at IBAT College, Dublin. John sadly passed away in 2016. His award recognizes a student who exemplifies John’s qualities; value of learning, helping others, respecting everyone, doing your best and having fun while doing it.

After the award formalities, a reception was organized to give all participants the opportunity to get to know each other and for speakers, staff and governors to meet graduates and guests in an informal setting.
