A woman’s husband from Iowa is on the villain list – as is their Santa exhibit.
TikTok user Amber Ann Zink recently posted video of her ‘obscene’ lighted display of Santa Claus on the roof of their house after her husband apparently forgot to tie Saint Nick’s hand so that she wave.
“My husband forgot to tie Santa’s hand to WAVE,†Amber wrote on the clip, which went viral with over 5.5 million likes.
“And now it’s obscene. “
TikTok users went to town on the blunder, which Fink titled “Just a Little Mistake.”

One of Zink’s neighbors, Nicole Burdess, commented: “Neighbor here. It is absolutely obscene. The overspray almost reaches my front yard! ‘ (Zink has confirmed that Burdess is, in fact, “in fact” his neighbor.)
“He only comes once a year… leave him alone,†user cm2036 wrote in a comment that has been “liked†over 706,000 times.
Many users commented on Zink’s song choice to accompany the clip, which was Maria Carey’s famous version of Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.
“And you chose THIS song,” wrote Benji Varnum.
“The perfect song choice,†user Gabrielle Williams said.
“Santa is coming,†Bree wrote, highlighting the latter using shiny emojis.
Durex Canada even had fun writing, “Looks like the only one packing their package this year is me. “
A few users wondered if Zink’s husband really “forgot” to tie Santa’s hand to wave at him.
“Who else thinks they ‘forgot’ on purpose,” user KaseyJ88 said.
“All the husbands who watch this take notes on when they want to help decorate this year,†Katielynn added.
Amber then posted a response video to Duolingo.
She can be heard asking her husband, “Did you do it on purpose?”
“Tell the truth, did you do it on purpose,†she asks in the TikTok clip.
Her husband, meanwhile, is seen re-jigging Santa’s hand on their illuminated rooftop display.
Amber asks him if he “really” did it that way in the first place, to which he answers “yes”.
“You told me it was a mistake… right?” ” She keeps.
“It was a lie,†her video adds, as her husband smiles.
