A company that designs and builds digital solutions for global brands is planning to locate in Charleston County, South Carolina, state officials said on Tuesday.

TELUS International’s $ 3.4 million investment will create nearly 1,200 new jobs by 2022, Governor Henry McMaster said in a statement.

“We are delighted to welcome TELUS International to South Carolina and celebrate its decision to do business in our state,” said McMaster. “By creating approximately 1,200 new jobs in Charleston County, this company is making a commitment to the entire community that is making a real difference in the lives of Southern Carolinians, and we couldn’t be more enthusiastic.

TELUS International provides a multilingual digital customer experience and digital IT solutions to customers around the world. The company operates in more than 25 countries and partners with brands in high growth verticals including technology and games, communications and media, e-commerce and fintech, healthcare, travel and the hotel industry.

TELUS International’s new facility will be located in North Charleston and will increase the company’s ability to meet growing customer demand. It also has operations in Folsom, California and Las Vegas.
