Edutech Company CAKE will release ‘BTS LYRICS INSIDE’

  • New book to provide official translation, context and meaning of the lyrics of the most popular BTS songs for fans around the world

SEONGNAM, South Korea, June 28, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — CAKE, language education company for language learning — a subsidiary of SNOW, which is a subsidiary of NAVER Corp. — today announced the release of a Korean-language textbook, “BTS LYRICS INSIDE.” The new book features intellectual property (IP) of BTS and will be released in English and Japanese. It is the first IP-based K-pop educational content to be introduced since the merger of CAKE and HYBE EDU in March.

Through “BTS LYRICS INSIDE” – which includes translation of BTS song lyrics, members’ music interviews, behind-the-scenes stories and the group’s social media posts – users can better understand BTS’s vision. through the meaning of their songs and messages. By teaching examples of how Korean lyrics can be used in real-life conversations as well as various meanings of lyrics, people who want to learn Korean and BTS fans can better understand and appreciate the meaning of BTS songs. In this way, CAKE expects users to learn Korean more easily through entertaining content.

In order to make the process of learning Korean more entertaining, CAKE selected songs to be included in the book by surveying approximately 350,000 BTS fans around the world for two years since 2020. Based on the analysis of lists of BTS concerts from 2018 to 2022, CAKE arranged the contents of the book should follow the order in which the songs were performed at actual concerts to let fans enjoy the learning process even more.
